Scholarships

The UIC Foundation is a non-profit organization with the mission of improving the lives of the Iñupiat people. The UIC Foundation is developing tomorrow’s community, state and corporate leaders by helping UIC shareholders and their descendants reach their educational goals through scholarship funding. The foundation acknowledges that a solid education is key to success in any leadership role. The UIC Foundation provides scholarships to eligible students attending college or vocational school full-or part-time, and assists with costs including tuition, fees and books for each term. The UIC Foundation urges scholarship recipients to serve their fellow Iñupiat people, their community and the state.

Semester Deadlines:
Fall: August 1st
Spring: December 1st
Summer: May 1st

Quarter Deadlines:
Fall: September 1st
Winter: December 15th
Spring: March 1st
Summer: June 1st

FIRST-TIME SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM APPLICANTS, PLEASE SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING:

     1. Completed Scholarship Application (see link above)
     2. Acceptance letter from the school you will be attending
     4. Complete transcripts from either your high school or the most recent school/college you have attended
     5. One letter of recommendation
     6. Personal statement detailing your future career plans after completion of college or training

Your latest term or semester grade report
