Scholarships

The UIC Foundation is a non-profit organization with the mission of improving the lives of the Iñupiat people by helping UIC shareholders and their descendants reach their educational goals through scholarship funding. The UIC Foundation provides scholarships to eligible students attending college or vocational school full-or part-time, and assists with costs including tuition, fees and books for each term. To be eligible for consideration for a scholarship an applicant must be a UIC shareholder or descendant of a UIC shareholder.  

HOW TO APPLY FOR A UIC FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP:

First-Time Scholarship Program Applicants, please submit the following:

1. Completed Scholarship Application (see link below)
2. Financial Aid Need Sheet completed and submitted by the school you are attending.
3. Acceptance letter the school you will be attending
4. Complete transcripts from either your high school or the most recent school/college you have attended
5. Three (3) letters of recommendations
6. Personal statement detailing your future career plans after completion of college or training


Scholarship Renewal Applicants, please submit the following:

1. Completed Scholarship Application (see link below)
2. Financial Aid Need Sheet completed and submitted by the school you are attending (see link below)
3. Your latest term or semester grade report
